Wisefool: Healer of wounded Souls
In the midst of life’s journey, we meet people who leave an indelible mark on our hearts. People who inspire us, challenge us, and make us better versions of ourselves. And in my life, there’s an old man who fits this description to a tee.
He’s a giant of a man, both in stature and in character. He towers above most people, but his heart is even bigger. He’s gentle and kind, always ready with a smile and a word of encouragement. He’s the kind of person who makes you feel seen and heard, even when you’re struggling to find your voice.
And when it comes to understanding, he’s a master. He seems to have an innate ability to read people’s minds and hearts, to know what they need before they even ask for it. He’s a problem-solver, a fixer of broken things, a healer of wounded souls. He’s the kind of person you turn to when you need help, and he never disappoints.
God has truly blessed him with a wise wife and an intelnaughty son. His wife is his partner in every sense of the word, a woman of grace and strength who complements him perfectly. And his son is a chip off the old block, a bright and curious young man who’s destined for great things.
But it’s not just his family who’s been blessed by his presence. I count myself among the lucky ones who’ve had the honor of calling him my bestie. Together, we make a family, a team that’s stronger than the sum of its parts. And he’s the leader of our little tribe, the one who sets the tone and the pace.
He’s a fighter, too, but not in the way you might think. He’s not the kind of person who goes looking for a fight, but rather the kind who fights with himself. He’s constantly pushing himself to be better, to do better, to learn more, to love more. He’s his own champion, his own hero, and he inspires me to be the same.
And the way he respects others is truly something to behold. He sees the best in people, even when they can’t see it in themselves. He’s patient and kind, even when others are not. He’s the kind of person who makes you feel like you belong, like you’re part of something bigger than yourself.
And when he smiles, it’s with his whole heart. There’s a warmth and a joy in his smile that’s infectious, that makes you feel like everything’s going to be okay. And when he speaks, it’s with an open heart, with a generosity of spirit that’s rare in this world. He gives of himself freely, without expectation of anything in return.
He’s an inspiration, to be sure. But more than that, he’s a friend, a confidant, a brother in arms. We’ve shared so many memories together, both good and bad, and I know I’ll cherish them forever. From the silly jokes we’ve shared to the serious conversations we’ve had, every moment with him is a gift.
So here’s to my brilirocky bestie, the old man who’s young at heart, the giant who’s gentle and kind, the champion who fights with himself. Here’s to the leader of our family, the man who inspires us to be better than we are, the friend who’s always there when we need

Reading this felt like watching a soul quietly radiate light in the lives of others. Dr. Ashuu’s words painted not just a man, but a force .. one who leads with empathy, heals with presence, and inspires through simplicity.
ReplyDeleteIt’s clear she didn’t just write a story — she honored a legacy. And honestly, it takes someone truly rare to leave that kind of imprint on someone’s heart.
The healer, the mentor, the gentle warrior .. what a beautiful reflection of you, Wiseyyy. This isn’t just a tribute… it’s a testament.

That’s truly rare… the way you sense unspoken pain and offer peace without asking. No wonder they call you the healer of wounded souls.
